About This Extension

Blue Light Filter is a Chrome extension that applies a warm amber overlay to every webpage you visit, reducing blue light exposure to ease eye strain and support healthy sleep. It is a purely local, client-side tool with no accounts, no analytics, and no external communication.

What We Do Not Collect

No personal information — no names, emails, or accounts of any kind
No browsing history — the pages you visit are never recorded or transmitted
No analytics or usage tracking of any kind
No cookies — the extension does not set or read cookies
No external servers — no data leaves your device under any circumstances
No third-party data sharing — there are no third parties involved at all

What Is Stored Locally

Blue Light Filter stores only your preferences using chrome.storage.local, which is a sandboxed storage area private to this extension on your own device. These settings are never transmitted anywhere.

You can clear this data at any time by uninstalling the extension or by clearing extension storage in Chrome's settings.
