Privacy Policy — WebRTC Privacy Shield

Overview

WebRTC Privacy Shield is a Chrome extension that controls your browser's WebRTC IP handling policy to prevent websites from detecting your real IP address through WebRTC leaks.

This extension is designed with privacy as its core principle. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.

Data Collection

This extension collects no user data whatsoever. Specifically:

No personal information is collected
No browsing history or activity is tracked
No IP addresses are logged or recorded
No analytics or telemetry are gathered
No data is transmitted to any external server

Permissions Used

This extension requests two permissions:

privacy — Used exclusively to set Chrome's WebRTC IP handling policy. This is the core function of the extension.
storage — Used only to remember your selected protection level (Max Privacy, Balanced, or Off) between browser sessions. This data stays entirely on your device.

Your selected protection level is stored locally on your device using Chrome's built-in storage. It is never shared with anyone, including the extension developer.

Third-Party Services

This extension does not integrate with, communicate with, or send any data to any third-party services, APIs, or servers.

Changes to This Policy

If this privacy policy changes in any meaningful way, the extension will be updated with a new version and the policy will reflect the change date. Given the nature of this extension, significant changes are unlikely.
