Los Angeles bicycle accident lawyers

Cyclists have the same rights on the road as drivers. When a driver opens a door into you or turns across your path, we hold them to it.

What to do after a bicycle accident

  1. Don’t fix the bike yet.The damage shows the angle and speed of the hit. Photograph it and keep it.
  2. Save your ride data.Strava, Garmin and bike camera files can prove your speed and position.
  3. Get treated and keep records.Wrist, collarbone and head injuries are common and often need follow-up care.

Common questions

I wasn’t wearing a helmet. Does that hurt my case?

California doesn’t require adults to wear one. It can come up for head injuries, but it doesn’t stop you from recovering for other injuries.

Does car insurance cover me on a bike?

Often, yes. Your own uninsured motorist coverage can apply when a driver hits you on a bicycle.
