Concept site Wildmint Dental is a fictional dental practice, designed and built by Patrick Bushe to show what I make for dental practices. Fictional, by Patrick Bushe

Scared of the dentist? So were most of our patients.

Everything here is built around one idea: you’re in charge of the visit. Start with a slow breath, then tell us what would help.

Breathe in4

In for four, out for six. We do this with you in the chair too, as often as you like.

What would help?

Your picks are saved in this tab and come with you to booking.

Pick what would help

Six promises, every visit.

  • You can stop anytime

Raise your hand and everything stops, mid-step. We don’t ask why.

  • We tell you first

What we’re about to do and how it will feel, before we touch anything.

  • No surprise bills

Anything beyond what you booked comes with a written price first. You decide.

  • No lectures

Not about flossing, not about how long it’s been. We start where you are.

  • Breaks whenever

Sit up, have water, walk around. The clock waits for you.

  • A first visit with no chair

Meet the dentist and see the room in a free 20 minutes. Nothing else.

Your first visit, minute by minute.

A checkup takes about an hour. Here’s all of it, so nothing comes as a surprise.

  1. 0–5 min Talk What’s bothering you, what scares you, what you want from today.
  2. 5–15 min X-rays Only the ones you’re due for. A few seconds each.
  3. 15–45 min Cleaning Hand tools first, the buzzy one only if you want it.
  4. 45–55 min Exam The dentist checks every tooth and shows you the photos.
  5. 55–60 min Plan What’s fine, what to watch, and what it would cost.

Questions nervous people ask.

What if I panic in the chair?

Raise your hand. We stop, sit you up and wait. Some people need two or three breaks in a visit, and that’s fine. If today isn’t the day, we book another one and don’t charge for the time.

Can I bring someone with me?

Yes. A partner, a friend or a parent can sit in the room with you for the whole visit.

Do you offer sedation?

We offer laughing gas (nitrous oxide), which wears off in minutes so you can drive home. We don’t do IV sedation. If you need it, we’ll refer you to someone who does.

It’s been years since my last visit. Is that a problem?

Not at all. Lots of our new patients haven’t been in for five or ten years. The first visit is mostly talking and looking, and we go at your pace.

Can I just come and look around first?

Yes, that’s what the meet-and-greet is for. Twenty minutes, free, no tools.

Start with twenty minutes and no chair.

Meet the dentist, see the room, hold the stone. Free, and nothing else happens.
