Many sites cover part of the page with banners asking you to install their app, especially in narrow windows. Ultimate Adblocker hides many of these with its "Pop-ups and app banners" setting, which is on by default and uses Fanboy's Notifications List: it blocks common smart app banner scripts and hides app banners on the sites the list covers. The same setting hides "allow notifications" prompts and newsletter sign-up pop-ups. A site with a brand-new banner may still show it until the list is updated.
