How to Stop Chrome from Draining Laptop Battery

Turn on Chrome's Energy Saver (Settings > Performance), which limits background activity and visual effects when your battery is low or you're unplugged, and sleep the tabs you aren't using: Tab Manager does it after a time you choose, and Memory Saver does it too. Sleeping tabs can't run scripts in the background. Lowering screen brightness and closing video tabs help most of all.
