Way to Disable AI Generated Snippets in Google Chrome

Chrome has no setting for Google's AI Overviews, because they're part of Google Search, not the browser. Search Cleaner hides them on google.com search pages; its "AI Overview" switch is on as soon as you install it. Google's own "Web" filter also returns a page of plain links without the overview, if you'd rather not add an extension.
