Project Overview
As co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer of Peels, I played a pivotal role in launching and scaling a disruptive brand in the CBD and wellness industry. Peels pioneered a revolutionary approach to CBD: extracting it exclusively from orange peels to create products that are completely free of THC, hemp, and cannabis—offering the benefits of CBD with unmatched purity, safety, and reliability for a broader audience wary of traditional sources.
From day one, I owned the brand's vision and execution:
Branding & Identity: Developed the name, visual system, tone of voice, and packaging that communicate cleanliness, innovation, and approachability—standing out in a crowded, often opaque market with bold, transparent messaging like "The Purest CBD on the Planet."
Storytelling: Created the foundational narrative around breakthrough science (orange-peel-derived CBD), rigorous third-party testing (e.g., Clean Label Project certifications for purity, THC-free, and pesticide-free status), and the mission to make premium wellness accessible without compromise. This story fueled press coverage, influencer partnerships, and consumer trust.
Marketing & Growth Strategy: Led go-to-market efforts including digital campaigns, content marketing (blogs, social, educational resources), email/SMS funnels, subscription model optimization, and e-commerce experience. Drove customer acquisition through targeted ads, SEO, PR (e.g., major launch announcements), and collaborations that amplified reach.
Community & Positioning: Built an authentic community around education and empowerment, positioning Peels as the safe, science-backed choice in a skeptical category—resulting in strong organic growth, repeat purchases, and brand loyalty.
