How to find the date halfway between two dates
The calculator counts the days from the start date to the end date, halves that number, and adds it to the start date. Halfway between January 1 and December 31, 2026 is Thursday, July 2, 2026: the dates are 364 days apart, so the midpoint is 182 days in.
When the span is an odd number of days, the true midpoint lands at noon. March 1 to May 1, 2026 is 61 days, so the midpoint is noon on Tuesday, March 31.

How do you calculate the midpoint between two dates?
Count the days between them, divide by two, and add that many days to the start date. For January 1 to December 31, 2026 that is 182 days, which lands on Thursday, July 2.
What if the number of days is odd?
Then the exact midpoint falls at 12:00 noon on the middle day. The calculator shows that date and notes the noon time.
Does the order of the dates matter?
No. If the end date is earlier than the start date, the calculator swaps them and returns the same midpoint.
Does it count the start and end dates?
It measures the time between them, the same way a date difference calculator does. January 1 to January 3 is 2 days apart, so the midpoint is January 2.
