What does the internal link counter do?
It counts and groups links from pasted HTML using your site domain as the internal/external boundary.
How does it decide what counts as internal?
Relative links (like /about/ or pricing.html) and absolute links whose host matches your site domain are internal. Links to other hosts are external, # links are same-page anchors, and mailto:, tel:, and javascript: links are counted separately.
Does www matter in the domain field?
No. "example.com" and "www.example.com" are treated as the same site, and you can include or leave out https://.
Why find duplicate URLs?
Several links to the same page are common (logo, nav, and body), but duplicates in the body can signal wasted link placement. The list shows each repeated href and how many times it appears.
