How is the amount calculated?
Wall area times the number of coats, divided by the coverage per litre or gallon on the can. The tool subtracts nothing for doors and windows by default.
What coverage should I use?
Around 10–12 square metres per litre (or 350–400 sq ft per gallon) is typical for a smooth interior wall; check your paint’s label.
Should I add extra?
Buying about 10% more than the estimate is wise for touch-ups and uneven or porous surfaces.
