Classic Wilks scoring applies a bodyweight-dependent coefficient to a powerlifting total so performances at different bodyweights can be compared on one scale. This calculator evaluates the selected legacy polynomial in kilograms, divides 500 by its result, and multiplies that coefficient by the entered total. Both the score and multiplier are shown so the arithmetic can be reproduced independently. The total normally combines the best squat, bench press, and deadlift.
Using the male coefficient category with a bodyweight of 100 kilograms and a total of 500 kilograms gives a polynomial value near 821.572426, a multiplier near 0.608589, and a Wilks score of 304.295. Changing only the total scales the score linearly, while changing bodyweight recalculates the polynomial and therefore the multiplier.
