Read, share and, if you can, chip in to outlets that keep their journalism free: The Guardian is funded by reader contributions with no paywall, and nonprofit newsrooms such as ProPublica and many local ones publish everything free. A small one-off donation helps them more than you'd think. For paywalled papers, library access is free to you and still pays the publisher.
