How to Browse Cleanly Without Popup Annoying Boxes
Patrick Bushe · May 1, 2026
Chrome's built-in pop-up blocker stops new windows, not the boxes drawn on the page itself. For those, two of Patrick Bushe's extensions split the work: Cookie Auto-Reject clicks reject on cookie banners, and Ultimate Adblocker hides many newsletter sign-ups, "allow notifications" prompts and app banners, closes tabs that ads open by themselves, and hides cookie banners on the sites its cookie list covers. A site neither knows about can still show a box.
