Many pages load scripts from dozens of ad and tracking servers, and each one is more for the browser to download and run before the page settles. Ultimate Adblocker blocks those requests before they start. In a test on weather.com's homepage in October 2026, the page made 842 network requests without the extension and 125 with it. How much faster pages feel depends on the site and your connection: ad-heavy sites gain the most, and pages that were already light won't change much.
