How to Make YouTube Safe for Classroom Use

Two things matter when you show YouTube to a class: which videos can appear, and what shows around the one you picked. For the first, turn on Restricted Mode from your YouTube profile menu, or if your school uses Google Workspace for Education, ask your administrator to set YouTube restrictions for everyone. For the second, Ultimate Adblocker blocks YouTube's ads, and its YouTube settings can hide recommended videos, comments, end-screen tiles and Shorts, and turn off autoplay. Neither is perfect, so preview videos before class.
