How to Stop Auto Playing Video Ads on Websites

Autoplaying video ads use data and battery and can blast sound when you least expect it. Most come from ad networks, which Ultimate Adblocker blocks with EasyList, so those players never load. Turning on "Other annoyances" in its settings also hides floating video players on the sites that list covers. Some sites autoplay their own videos rather than ads; for those, right-click the tab and choose "Mute site", or block sound for the site in Chrome's site settings.
