Jerky motion on pages with parallax effects comes from the site's own animation code, which runs as you scroll, and no extension can make it smooth. Two things help: turn on your system's reduced-motion setting (Windows: Settings > Accessibility > Visual effects > Animation effects off; macOS: System Settings > Accessibility > Display > Reduce motion), which many sites respect by switching those effects off, and keep Chrome's graphics acceleration on. For articles, Reading mode avoids the effects entirely.
