Split the check fairly
Dividing a bill is total plus tip, divided by the number of people. On a $120 bill with 18% tip split three ways, that is about $47 each — done before anyone reaches for a phone.
For groups where some ordered more, splitting by each person's subtotal before adding a shared tip and tax is fairer than dividing the whole bill evenly.

For items ordered separately, split by subtotal rather than evenly. Your bill amounts stay on your device and are never uploaded.
Frequently asked questions
How do I split unevenly?
Put a number after a name to set their weight, such as "Alex 2, Sam 1, Jordan 1". Alex then pays half. Names without a number get a weight of 1, so plain names split evenly.
Where does tip or tax go?
Enter it in the Tip/tax extra box. It is added to the bill total before splitting, so each person's share includes their portion of it. $240 plus $30 tip split four ways is $67.50 each.
Can I use it for rent by room size?
Yes. Use each room's square footage (or any ratio) as the weight, like "Room A 180, Room B 140", and enter the monthly rent as the total.
