What format should the dates use?
ISO 8601 with a time zone offset, such as 2026-10-15T18:00:00-07:00. Without an offset, Google may show the wrong local time.
How do I mark an online event?
Change the location to a VirtualLocation with a url and add eventAttendanceMode set to OnlineEventAttendanceMode. The generated markup assumes an in-person Place.
What if the event is postponed or cancelled?
eventStatus is set to EventScheduled. Change it to EventCancelled, EventPostponed, or EventRescheduled and keep the page live, so search results show the update.
