Gross to Net Hours Calculator

Subtract unpaid breaks from gross hours to get paid hours.

Paid hours, not clocked hours

The hours you clock are not always the hours you are paid for — unpaid breaks come out. This calculator subtracts break time to give the net paid hours, and the pay if you add a rate.

Clocking 8.5 hours with a 30-minute unpaid break leaves 8 paid hours. At a 20 rate that is 160 gross pay. Enter your figures to work it out.

Practical and private

The calculation runs in your browser, so nothing you enter is uploaded.
