Steps to Distance Calculator

Convert step count into distance and calories from your stride.

From steps to real distance

A step count only means something once you turn it into distance, and that comes down to your stride length. Multiply the two and you have how far you actually walked.

Ten thousand steps at a 0.76 m stride is about 7.6 kilometres, or 4.7 miles, burning roughly 280 calories for a 70 kg walker. Measure your own stride for a more personal result.

Simple and private

It multiplies steps by stride and estimates calories in your browser, so nothing you enter is uploaded.

It multiplies your step count by your stride length. If you do not know your stride, the default of 0.76 m is a common average for adults.
