Google has no personal block list any more (it dropped its Blocked Sites feature in 2013), so blocking spam sites takes an extension. uBlacklist is a free, open-source one: when a spam site turns up, block it from the results page and it stays hidden in future searches. You can also report spam to Google through its spam report form. Patrick Bushe's Search Cleaner works on a different part of the page, hiding the AI Overview, ads and widget boxes rather than particular sites.
