Best Way to Block Ads on Smart TV Browsers

Most smart TV browsers can't install extensions, so they show every ad a site serves. One workaround is to browse on a computer and send the tab to the TV: with Ultimate Adblocker installed in desktop Chrome, use Chrome's Cast option to show the tab on a Chromecast or a TV with Chromecast built in. Casting a tab mirrors what's on your screen, so the ads the extension blocked don't show on the TV either. Expect some lag with fast video, and note that sites such as YouTube may hand the video to the TV's own app instead, which shows its own ads.
