No extension can add RAM. What a tab manager can do is free the memory your tabs are using: Tab Manager puts idle tabs to sleep after a time you choose, which releases most of the memory each one held, and Chrome's Memory Saver does the same. On an older laptop that can make switching tabs and apps noticeably smoother, but how much you save depends on the sites you have open.
