Sometimes a short video is actually valuable, but the vertical TikTok-style player interface is awful for pausing or scrubbing timelines. To disable the shorts player and redirect to the standard player, use the YouTube Enhancer extension. It monitors URL structure; whenever you click a /shorts/ link, the extension automatically intercepts the request and forces the browser to render the exact same video using the traditional, highly-functional /watch?v= desktop layout.
