Long reading on bright white pages tires many people out.
Make the page darker or warmer. Modern Dark Mode turns white pages dark charcoal with light gray text, and its Advanced Settings let you add warmth with Sepia / Warmth or lower the brightness if the text is too bright. Keep your screen brightness close to the room's light, enlarge small text with Chrome's zoom, and take regular breaks, which matter as much as the colors.
