How to Read Manga Online in Pure Dark Mode
Patrick Bushe · May 1, 2026
Manga sites often surround the art with bright white sidebars and borders.
Modern Dark Mode darkens the site around the pages and flips images back to their normal colors, so the panels stay as drawn while the white turns dark. For pure black instead of dark charcoal, raise the Contrast slider in Advanced Settings to about 125%. Some readers show pages as background images, which may come out inverted; check a page, and exclude the site if the art looks wrong.
