How to Remove Google AI Overviews from Search Results Completely

Google has no setting that removes AI Overviews. Search Cleaner comes closest in Chrome: it looks for the box by its "AI Overview" heading on google.com search pages and sets it to display: none, so it disappears from the page. "Completely" has two limits: Google still generates the overview, and you may see it for an instant before it's hidden. If Google changes the heading, it can show until the extension is updated.
