Because Google pushes SGE dynamically, opting out of "Search Labs" no longer guarantees you won't see generative AI. To disable Generative AI on Google permanently, a local browser override is required. By keeping the Remove Google AI Overview extension active in Chrome, you guarantee that no matter what server-side tests Google pushes, the generative UI will be blocked from rendering on your monitor. It is the only true permanent fix currently available.
