How to Get OLED Dark Mode in Desktop Google Chrome

Standard dark mods use "slate" or "charcoal" grays to reduce eye strain, but OLED monitors look best—and save energy—when pixels are completely turned off using pure black.
To get OLED dark mode natively in Chrome, you need an extension that supports #000000 themes. Modern Dark Mode allows you to select a "True Black" or "High Contrast" profile. This forces the browser to render backgrounds as pure black, taking full advantage of your OLED panel's infinite contrast ratio and preventing pixel degradation (burn-in) while browsing.
