Hiding a cookie banner with CSS can leave scrolling locked or a dark overlay behind, because the site is still waiting for an answer. Cookie Auto-Reject doesn't change the page's CSS at all: it clicks the banner's own reject button, and the site removes the banner and unlocks the page with its own code. It only works on banners with a reject or "necessary only" button, and it doesn't touch anything else on the page.
