X (formerly Twitter) places promoted posts in your timeline that look like regular posts. On the web version, Ultimate Adblocker hides them using EasyList's rules for x.com, along with promoted trends and promoted account suggestions. X changes its page code often, so a promoted post can slip through until EasyList and the extension are updated, which is why no tool can honestly promise "permanently". It works on x.com in Chrome on a computer, not in the X app.
