Acupuncture & East Asian Medicine Websites

Acupuncture website design for calm, well-booked clinics

Websites for acupuncturists and East Asian medicine clinics, from a solo practice to a clinic with several practitioners. Many people on an acupuncture site have never had a treatment. They want to know whether it hurts, what happens at the first visit, how much it costs, whether insurance helps, and who will treat them. I design acupuncture sites that answer those questions in a steady, plain voice, make booking simple and keep health claims careful. Below: what an acupuncture site costs, what a first-visit page should say, and which claims to leave out.

What you get
Open times, day or night

Open times by practitioner and treatment, linked to the scheduling software you already pay for.

A first-visit page

The intake form, how long it takes, what to wear and what the needles feel like, before anyone books.

Insurance in plain words

Which plans you bill, whether you give superbills, and what patients can ask their insurer.

Careful wording

Pages that describe what you treat without promising cures, so the clinic reads as trustworthy.

Quick answer

An acupuncture site costs around $17.77 to $159.77 a month to build yourself on Wix or Squarespace, or from $5,000 custom. It does its job when a nervous first-timer can see what the first visit involves, what it costs and whether insurance helps, then book a time without phoning.

Upwork freelancer$15 to $30 hourly in most cases; design specialists $45 to $75+Small edits to an existing site

Numbers from the Wix and Squarespace pricing pages (October 2026) and Upwork (November 2026). Every option compared: how much a website costs.

Questions a first-visit page should answer

  • How long the first appointment takes, and what happens in each part.
  • What to wear, and whether to eat beforehand.
  • What the needles feel like, in honest words.
  • The intake form, and when to fill it in.
  • The fee, and how insurance or a superbill works.
  • Parking, the door to use, and step-free access.

Claims to keep off the site

  • “Cures” for any condition.
  • Success percentages with no source.
  • Advice to stop medicine or skip a doctor.
  • Testimonials that promise everyone the same result.

Say what you treat, how a course of treatment usually goes, and that results vary from person to person. That reads as more trustworthy, not less.

When you compare designers, how to hire a web designer lists what to ask.

A practitioner matcher you can try

Lowtide Counseling is a practice I invented. Its five-question matcher with sample openings, its free consult request and its notes on superbills and Good Faith Estimates carry straight over to an acupuncture clinic with more than one practitioner. See all 26

What's included

Every project includes

Condition and treatment pages

Pain, stress, sleep, fertility support or whatever you focus on, each describing how you treat it, without promises.

Booking

Your scheduling software (Jane, for example) embedded or linked, with new and returning patients sent to the right place.

Practitioner profiles

Each acupuncturist’s training, license, approach and languages, with a calm photo.

Insurance and payment page

Plans you bill, self-pay rates, packages, HSA and FSA cards if you take them, and superbills for out-of-network claims.

Intake forms

Links to the intake paperwork in your practice software, so new patients finish it before arriving, never a plain contact form.

Quiet, quick pages

Fast on phones, easy to read, and calm in tone, like the treatment room.

Optional add-on

Add an AI assistant to your new site

A better site brings in more inquiries. An AI add-on makes sure none of them wait. I build it alongside your site, so it launches with everything else.

FAQ

Questions buyers ask

What should an acupuncture website include?

Online booking, a first-visit page, the conditions you focus on, your practitioners and their licenses, prices and insurance, intake forms, hours, parking and reviews. New patients mostly want to know the first visit will be easy.

How much does an acupuncture website cost?

With Wix you’d pay $17.77 to $159.77 monthly and with Squarespace $19 to $99, annual billing, doing the work yourself. On Upwork, $15 to $30 an hour is a common freelance rate. Custom acupuncture sites from me start at $5,000, quoted as one price.

Can our website say acupuncture treats a condition?

Carefully. The Federal Trade Commission expects health claims in advertising to be backed by sound scientific evidence, and a clinic website counts. Describe what you treat and how, point to good research where it exists, and don’t promise results.

Should we list insurance on the site?

Yes. Say which plans you bill directly, whether you give superbills for out-of-network reimbursement, and suggest patients ask their plan about acupuncture coverage before the first visit.

Should practitioner pages show licenses?

Yes. In California, acupuncturists are licensed by the California Acupuncture Board, and anyone can check a license online. Listing each practitioner’s license (L.Ac.) and training builds trust quickly.

Do you work with clinics outside Los Angeles?

Yes. Acupuncture clinics in any state can hire me; from Los Angeles, I run every project in writing, with a preview to open at each step.
