How to Auto-Cycle Through Trello and Jira Boards on a Team TV

A TV that cycles through your team's boards keeps everyone aware of what's in progress, blocked and done, without anyone opening a laptop. All you need is a computer connected to the screen, a browser and a list of boards.
1. Use a viewer account
Sign in on the TV computer with an account that can see the boards but has limited permissions, or with view-only access where your plan allows it. That way, someone walking past can't move cards or change settings, and you're not leaving a personal account signed in on a shared screen.
2. Prepare each view for a screen
- Trello: use filters to show only the current sprint or a team's cards, and collapse lists nobody needs on the TV.
- Jira: build a dashboard for the TV with large gadgets, such as a sprint burndown, a filter of blocked issues and a created-vs-resolved chart, rather than showing the full board.
- Zoom: set each site's zoom with
Ctrl++or-so it fills the screen. Chrome remembers zoom per site.
3. Bookmark the views in one folder
Create a bookmark folder such as "Team TV" and add each board or dashboard view, in the order you want them shown.
4. Start the rotation
AutoBrowser plays a bookmark folder in one tab, showing each page for a time you choose, from one second to five minutes, and looping at the end. It reloads each page when it comes round, so the boards stay current. Thirty to sixty seconds per view is usually enough for people to read it.
5. Make it look clean
- Press
F11for full screen, which hides tabs and the address bar. - Hide the bookmarks bar.
- Use dark mode if the room is dim; it's easier to look at all day.
6. Keep it running
- Set the computer and screen never to sleep.
- Check that the viewer account stays signed in; some company sign-ins expire after a set time.
- Set the browser to reopen where it left off, so a restart doesn't lose the setup.
What not to show
Visitors, cleaners and other teams walk past office screens. Leave out boards with confidential projects, personal information, customer names or HR matters.
