A linen clothing store that works like a Shopify theme

Duneweave is a made-up brand. I designed and built it to show what a clothing brand store can look like; the people, prices, results and reviews on it are samples.

The brief

Duneweave is a made-up linen brand that sells shirts and tees online.

Fashion shoppers decide in seconds, mostly on a phone, and leave when sizing or returns are unclear. The store has to let the photos sell, make picking a color and size quick, and answer fit and care questions on the product page.

The idea

Photos first

A white page and black type, so the photography carries all the color. Archivo with its width axis: expanded caps for the brand voice, normal width for reading. Square corners everywhere.

Design decisions

Built like a Shopify store

Home, a collection page with category filter and sort, product pages with variants, and a cart drawer. A real build would be a custom Shopify theme with the same layout.

Fit answered on the page

A size guide opens right from the size picker, so nobody leaves the product to check measurements.

Let the photos do the work

Big photos, a swipe gallery on phones, and the color swap changes the photos as well as the name.

Product page

What’s built

  • Shop page with category filter and sort
  • Product pages with color swap, size picker and photo gallery
  • Size guide
  • Cart drawer that keeps the bag between visits
  • “Our linen” story with care and policies
  • Email signup for new releases

Pages to try

Everything works in the browser. Forms and checkout don’t send anything.
