A heating, air and plumbing site built around a thermostat dial, with a troubleshooter, a flat-price book and two-hour booking windows.
The brief
Evenkeel Air & Plumbing is a made-up company in Sherman Oaks that fixes AC, heating, water heaters and leaks across the San Fernando Valley.
People land on an HVAC or plumbing site when something is broken. They want three answers fast: how urgent it is, what it will cost, and when someone can come. Most sites answer with a phone number and a coupon.

The idea
The thermostat
The site works like the thing on the wall. The home page dial asks how warm it is inside and answers with the likely problem. The accent color is the thermostat’s mode light: blue when the house needs cooling, red when it needs heat, graphite when it’s even, and the whole page follows it. Temperatures are set in thin Lexend numerals on dark rounded screens, with Onest for reading.
Design decisions
Start with how it feels inside
Drag the dial or tap plus and minus. Each range gets its own answer and its own button: below 67° books heating repair, 67° to 76° suggests a tune-up, and above 76° books AC repair.
What to try before you call
The troubleshooter takes the system and the symptom and gives what to check yourself, what it usually turns out to be, the fixes at flat prices and how soon to book. A gas smell skips all of that and says get outside.
Prices and windows, not a callback
A 26-line price book with sample flat prices, then booking by day and two-hour window. Full windows show as full, Sundays are for emergencies only, and the visit ticket fills in as you pick.
