A remodeling contractor website built from job-site marks

A remodeler’s site with a live rough estimate and the week-by-week schedule every client gets.

Studwell Builders is a made-up brand. I designed and built it to show what a contractor site can look like; the people, prices, results and reviews on it are samples.

The brief

Studwell Builders is a made-up Los Angeles remodeler: kitchens, bathrooms, ADUs and additions.

Homeowners shopping for a contractor have two worries: what it will cost, and whether the job will drag on for months. They want a ballpark number before they call, finished work like theirs, and a clear picture of how the job will run.

The idea

The job site

Lumber grade stamps, spray-paint stencil numbers, tape-measure ticks, dimension lines and the weekly schedule chart every client gets. Black, hi-vis lime and concrete grey; Big Shoulders (condensed and stencil) over Barlow; square corners.

Design decisions

Answer the price question up front

A rough estimate builder (project, size, finish level) shows a price range and the number of weeks as you change it. The math is a labeled sample; a real build uses the contractor’s own numbers.

Show the schedule

Every service page has a week-by-week chart, and the home page shows what’s on the board this week, because “how long” matters as much as “how much.”

Three ways to finish it

Each service shows three finish levels, so people see where they fit before they talk to anyone.

What’s built

  • Rough estimate builder with a live price range and weeks
  • Week-by-week schedule chart on every service page
  • “On the board this week” on the home page
  • Project gallery of nine sample jobs
  • Service pages for kitchens, bathrooms, ADUs and additions
  • Fixed-price bid request form

Pages to try

Everything works in the browser. Forms and checkout don’t send anything.
