What makes your design different from other WordPress agencies?
Three things: (1) Every site is designed in Figma before any code — most WordPress shops design in the browser, which limits creativity. (2) Custom theme, not template — most agencies modify a starter theme; we build from scratch. (3) Your team can actually update it — custom Gutenberg blocks tuned for non-technical editors.
How long does a WordPress design engagement take?
Design phase is 3–6 weeks. Development phase is 6–10 weeks. Full project from kickoff to launch is typically 12–16 weeks for a custom site with multiple page templates and content sections.
Can I see design before committing to development?
Yes. Design and development are separate phases with their own approval gates. You can pause after the design phase if needed (though most clients move straight into development with the same team).
What if I don't like the first design direction?
Design iteration is baked into the timeline. Most projects go through 3–4 rounds of feedback before final approval. Big direction changes after round 2 require additional scope, but tuning and refinement within a direction are expected.
Do you do redesigns of existing WordPress sites?
Yes. Theme rebuilds (new design, keep existing content + URLs) are usually 8–12 weeks. SEO and content preservation are part of the process — we redirect, restructure, and rebuild without breaking what already ranks.
What about hosting and DNS?
I help set up hosting (WP Engine, Pantheon, Kinsta, or a custom setup), DNS migration, SSL, and email forwarding. You own all accounts — I don't lock clients into agency-controlled infrastructure.
What about ongoing design work after launch?
Monthly retainers available for ongoing design work — new sections, landing pages, A/B test variations, content visuals. Typically $2,500–$5,000/mo depending on scope.
