Agents spend much of the day in the browser: listing sites, the MLS, email, CRMs and e-signature tools. A handful of extensions can save time across all of them. Stick to ones you'll use weekly, and keep an eye on permissions, since your browser holds client data.

Pricing and listing research

  • Zillow Price/SqFt adds price per square foot to every Zillow listing card, so you can sanity-check pricing across a neighborhood without opening each listing. Handy when a client sends you a Zillow link and asks "is this a good price?"
  • The free price per square foot calculator handles one-off comparisons.
  • Your MLS remains the source of truth for comps; extensions only speed up the browsing.

Notes and follow-up

  • Sticky Notes Anywhere keeps notes on any page, such as a listing, a CRM record or a lender's site. Notes stay in your browser.
  • Most CRMs have their own extension or Gmail add-on to log emails and contacts. Check your CRM's help pages for its official one, rather than a third-party add-on.

Video, scheduling and writing

  • Loom records quick screen videos, useful for walking a client through comps or a contract.
  • Calendly and similar scheduling tools let clients book showings and calls without email back and forth.
  • A grammar checker catches mistakes in listing descriptions and emails.
  • Word Counter counts the characters in selected text, useful because MLS remarks fields have character limits.

Whatever writes your listing copy, including AI tools, check it against fair housing rules. Describe the property, not the people you imagine living there.

Security: the most important extension

A password manager such as Bitwarden or 1Password protects your MLS, email and transaction accounts. Wire fraud schemes often start with a hacked agent email account, so add two-step verification everywhere too.

Comfort for long screen days

  • Modern Dark Mode darkens listing sites and dashboards while keeping property photos in their real colors.
  • Cookie Auto-Reject clears cookie banners on the many sites you research.

Keep it lean

Review your extensions every few months. Remove what you don't use, and be wary of any extension that asks to read all your sites without a clear reason. See what extension permissions mean.
